Erasmus+ is the European Union’s program for education, training, youth, and sport for the period 2021–2027. These sectors play a crucial role in supporting individuals in their personal and professional development. High-quality, inclusive education and training, along with informal and non-formal learning, equip young people and participants of all ages with the qualifications and skills necessary for meaningful participation in democratic society, inter-cultural understanding, and a successful transition into the labor market.
Building on the success of the program during the 2014–2020 period, Erasmus+ is enhancing its efforts to increase opportunities for a broader range of participants and organizations, emphasizing its qualitative impact. It aims to contribute to more cohesive societies with a stronger ecological focus and better digital preparedness.
European citizens need to acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies required in a rapidly evolving society that is becoming increasingly mobile, multicultural, and digital. Studying, learning, and working in another country should become a common experience, and everyone should have the opportunity to learn two additional languages beyond their native one.
The program serves as a key instrument in supporting the objectives of the European Education Area, the Digital Education Action Plan 2021–2027, the European Union’s Youth Strategy, and the EU Work Plan for Sport (2021–2024).
As part of the Erasmus+ program, students have the opportunity to participate in studies and internships.
