Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programs of Study

The Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programs of Study (D.P.M.S.) lead to the award of a Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) after studies lasting at least one full calendar year. For those interested, there is the possibility to continue their studies for the attainment of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in one of the collaborating Schools of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

The Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Naval and Marine Technology

The purpose of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in NAVAL AND MARINE TECHNOLOGY is:

  • The specialization of engineers and scientists with a focus on methods and techniques for an integrated interdisciplinary approach, collaboration, and research, as well as the improvement of the competitiveness of Greek scientific potential in the field of Naval and Marine Technology. This aims to shape professionals with specialized knowledge, capable of effectively addressing the increasing needs of private and public enterprises, organizations, and services in Greece or other countries, in the multidimensional issues of Naval and Marine Technology, which are of vital importance to Greece within the context of the European and global space.
  • The in-depth training and development of research capabilities for engineers and other scientists, enabling them to generate new knowledge.
  • The more effective interaction of science and technology with the goal of balanced education for young scientists.

Starting from the academic year 2024-2025, the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Naval and Marine Technology has been internationalized and is conducted in the English language.

The Postgraduate Program in "Naval and Marine Technology and Science" is organized by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in collaboration with various departments of the Institution and specialized bodies.

Στο ΔΠΜΣ γίνονται δεκτοί, μετά από ανοικτή προκήρυξη και επιλογή, διπλωματούχοι Μηχανικοί του ΕΜΠ ή ομοταγών ισοτίμων και αναγνωρισμένων Τμημάτων άλλων ΑΕΙ της χώρας ή της αλλοδαπής. Επίσης γίνονται δεκτοί και πτυχιούχοι ισοτίμων και αναγνωρισμένων συναφών Τμημάτων ΑΕΙ της χώρας ή της αλλοδαπής κυρίως θετικής ή τεχνολογικής κατεύθυνσης σε ποσοστό το οποίο θα αποφασίζεται κάθε χρόνο από την Ειδική Διατμηματική Επιτροπή (ΕΔΕ) του ΔΠΜΣ. Τέλος, γίνονται επίσης δεκτές προς εξέταση και αιτήσεις υποψηφιότητας κατόχων τίτλων σπουδών, ως ο νόμος ορίζει.
