Description
We are currently seeking a diligent and proactive individual to join Minerva Marine Inc. as a Technical Assistant, to play a vital role in supporting the technical aspects of the company’s fleet and maritime activities.
Responsibilities
-Maintain accurate and organized technical records for existing vessels/new buildings, equipment, and maintenance/reliability activities.
-Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Technical Manager, Technical Heads, and Technical Superintendents including NBs and projects.
-Assist in all technical operations ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
-Assist in the coordination of technical tasks and support in studies and budget monitoring.
-Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining the department’s files and processing paperwork, filing and retrieving documents, records, and reports.
-Ensure proper maintenance of the team’s facilities and arrange for proper general needs (i.e. stationery, business cards, etc.)
Requirements
-A degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical disciplines
-Previous experience in a technical or administrative role within the maritime or shipping industry is preferred
-Basic understanding of ship operations, maintenance, and technical terminology
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail
-Competent in Microsoft Office
-Excellent use of English
-Military obligations completed
